On July 14, 2009, Florida Hospital Ormond
Memorial
on Sterthaus Avenue in Ormond Beach closed and Florida Hospital Memorial Medical
Center
off Williamson Boulevard opened.

The new replacement hospital is now the
area’s most comprehensive facility, featuring
the expansion of many services already
available and adding new and exciting features.

Fully Accredited
The Peninsula Rehabilitation Center at our Oceanside campus is the only licensed, inpatient comprehensive medical rehabilitation facility fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. The center specializes in the treatment and rehabilitation for those who have experienced a stroke, multiple trauma injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries and for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery. Our highly specialized training has enabled our medical team to develop higher levels of expertise and achieve better results for our patients so they may achieve their highest level of functional independence.

Landscaping for the Medical Center will contain 82 Palms, 432 trees and 55,115 shrub & groundcover plants.

The 7,451 square yards of carpet installed in the new hospital earned 118 tons of Verified Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Credits, equal to keeping 20 passenger cars off the road.
